● About the Lot

A clearer route from finished beat to finished record.

ToneLot is an independent beat marketplace built to make discovery, licensing, and producer-to-artist communication feel straightforward.

01

Why ToneLot exists

Great beats often disappear into crowded feeds, private folders, and message threads. Independent artists can spend hours searching without knowing what a license includes, while producers can have finished work ready to go with no simple path to a buyer.

ToneLot brings those steps into one place. Artists can hear a protected preview, inspect the price and license, contact the producer, and complete a purchase. Producers can publish their work, keep a public profile, and track the earnings connected to completed sales.

02

How the marketplace works

1

Producers list

A producer uploads an original beat, selects a preview, names a price, and confirms the rights required to license it.

2

Artists listen

Visitors can browse public listings and hear previews before creating an account or committing to a purchase.

3

Terms come first

The buyer reviews the Standard Non-Exclusive License before checkout instead of discovering restrictions afterward.

4

The record starts

After confirmed payment, the buyer receives the full beat and an issued license record tied to that transaction.

03

Rights, safety, and clear records

Producers keep ownership of their beats. A standard purchase gives the buyer permission to use one beat in one original song; it does not transfer ownership or make the beat exclusive. ToneLot stores the accepted license version and purchase record so both sides can identify what was agreed.

Listings, artwork, messages, and community activity remain subject to marketplace rules. Rights owners can use the public Copyright / DMCA process, and users can report listings or messages that violate platform policies.

Important distinction

ToneLot provides the marketplace and payment record. The producer grants the beat license directly to the buyer.

04

How ToneLot earns

ToneLot keeps a 20% platform fee from a completed beat sale, and the producer’s share is 80%. Payout timing and eligibility can depend on the producer’s age, identity verification, refund hold, available balance, and selected payout provider.

There is no promise that every listing will sell. ToneLot’s job is to provide the tools, public catalog, transaction record, and a clearer experience for independent music deals.
