What happens after a notice

Completeness check

We confirm the notice includes the signature, work, exact material, contact details, and required legal statements.

Locate and review

We preserve the claim, locate the listing, and review whether the notice is facially complete. Access may be disabled expeditiously.

Notify the uploader

If material is disabled, ToneLot records the action and notifies the uploader so they can understand the claim.

Counter-notice

An uploader who believes removal was a mistake may submit the statutory counter-notice below.

Restore or retain

After a compliant counter-notice, material may be restored in 10–14 business days unless the claimant reports a filed court action.

Repeat infringement

ToneLot may suspend or terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
